Sam designed our garden in 2022. She listened carefully to our preferences and how we would use the garden and really incorporated everything we were hoping for in the design. She then helped us to find somebody to do the hard landscaping, sourced the plants and did the planting. We are absolutely delighted with how the garden is looking after only 1 spring and are looking forward to see it continue to grow. We would highly recommend Sam.
Sam designed our garden for us 17 years ago, so our garden is now mature. We still love the design every day and we have not made any major changes since. The design served all the purposes we asked for and working with Sam was easy and straightforward. We thought the price was on the steep side at the time, but as we are still benefiting from Sam’s professional knowledge after 17 years, it has proved to be an excellent investment.
We commissioned Sam in 2016 to revamp our garden in spring 2017. We had numerous helpful and creative meetings in advance of work beginning . This process of consultation was invaluable in establishing what we wanted. Key was the location of our pond. Our inclination had been to put it some way from the house. Sam’s advice was the opposite and this was so right. We now see all manner of bird life close up – a joy year round.
Our border were enlarged and a planting plan and colour scheme was established, taking account of our likes. The plan has been able to maintain so the integrity of the design, a few years on remains intact. The plants are maturing and we’ve added some more and we are completely delighted with what we have and what’s emerging.

Last year we commissioned Sam to completely redesign our garden, which needed to incorporate retaining walls, circular steps, two patio areas and a water feature. After a couple of visits and a few tweaks we had the design we wanted. Once the landscape work had been completed Sam came back to discuss the planting plan, incorporating our ideas with hers. She planted the garden at the beginning of March and although it is early days yet we are very pleased with the results.
In 2015 this team made me the most fabulous garden out of what was a real wreck. They had to clear the site, plan the design with me, layout the design which involved paving, pebbles, fencing and borders along with plants shrubs and many bulbs. The finished result, after around 7-10 days and now 2 years of growth is the most beautiful garden ever with fabulous flowers to cut and bring in to the house and give away. I cannot believe how hard they worked. I would thoroughly recommend them and have passed on their names to my friends. The end result was so beautiful and peaceful. Well done Samantha and Graham.
We asked Sam to design a country/coastal garden that was easy to maintain as we would not be at the house all the time. We wanted to include a boardwalk and some curves. We also needed to lose some of the lawn as we were spending most weekends cutting it in the summer.
We had chosen our own summerhouse, which Sam incorporated into the design but otherwise it really was a blank canvas. Trevor built the garden and Sam planted all the beautiful flowers, trees and grasses. She gave us a book showing all our new plants with a guide to show us how to care for them.
Many thanks to Samantha for designing such a lovely garden. A perfect place to entertain friends and family, or just curl up with a good book. We look forward to spending long hot summer days admiring our new garden in Norfolk.
“Sam has successfully designed a fantastic outdoor seating area from part of the garden that was very run down. At the same time the new area flows seamlessly into the existing garden and once the new paving has weathered will feel like one garden. She has thoughtfully kept the plants that had sentimental attachment and at the same time complemented them with more imaginative plantings. Sam also managed all the planning aspects when we took out the large Leylandii tree as we live in a conservation area.

We decided to have a small extension built on the back of our house. It was at that point we realised that our garden would need an urgent redesign. Sam provided us with a lovely design, which has transformed the relationship between our garden and house. It feels like we have a beautiful new room, which is a joy to observe in winter and a pleasure to use in summer.
We consulted closely with Sam on ideas. She project managed the new design build and carried out the planting. We have continued a much appreciated and regular contact with Sam, for advice and help in maintaining our garden.
We had recently moved into a new house and had a completely blank half acre of garden and while visting our local nursery were given Sam’s name. She was very helpful, listened to what we wanted and she came up with a design that we were very pleased with.
One year later we have exactly what we wanted. A garden that was quick to mature, has lots of colour all year round and reasonably low maintenance. All our neighbours remark on how wonderful our garden looks, we would certainly recommend her.
Sam’s brief was essentially to produce something that looked good and was low maintenance. I can’t believe how good it looks and how little time it takes to look after. The process was straightforward, friendly and professional.
Something I wasn’t expecting (though it wasn’t accidental on Sam’s part) was how the colour scheme attracts lots of butterflies in the summer.
The garden is looking spectacular. Both the beds look fantastic and everyone was very complimentary when we had our open gardens days. The planting round the pond has been lovely with “surprises” popping up all the time.

Every time I try to write a letter of thanks to you, the garden you have created for us changes and looks even better. You have turned a small dreary space into a truly delightful Japanese garden for us, with a minimum of fuss but will a lot of effort and expertise.
